Video Marketing (Lou Bortone)

  • Episode #8

Video expert Lou Bortone brings nearly 40 years of experience in the field to show you how to conquer “camera shyness” and reach way more people with video marketing.

Lou Bortone, sometimes referred to as The Godfather of Video, has been a pioneer and thought leader in the video space since the launch of YouTube in 2005. Before that, he spent 20 years as a marketing executive in the television and entertainment industries.

Hosts Linda Claire Puig and Ari Iny discuss with Lou how to conquer “camera shyness” and reach way more people with video marketing.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • The surprising reason why video marketing is actually a dream for introverts…and how to start using it for fast audience growth and to make yourself a go-to authority
  • How to combine video with email to boost engagement (including what to put in the subject line and body copy)
  • Why you should never follow a script while filming—and the simple alternative that helps you make more authentic and relatable videos
  • And much more!
“Video in particular is a dream for introverts. We can stay at home in front of our computer and still do business around the world.”
