It’s a Matter of Time (Rob Goyette)

  • Episode #36

Time may wait for no one, but if you manage it efficiently, you won’t even notice. Many coaches find it really challenging to have enough energy to work in and on their business without burning out. But there are strategies that work wonders for some.
In this episode, Melinda talks with Rob Goyette, a marketing and technology expert, who also happens to be a brilliant manager of his time. Rob has served the coaching community since 2007, and today, he shares his best time management advice with our audience. If you want to learn to free up more of your time and enjoy the lifestyle that coaches strive for, don’t miss today’s show!

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Why it’s important for entrepreneurs to be intentional with their time.
  • Where do people typically make mistakes in managing their time effectively?
  • What’s really going on behind “shiny-object syndrome”?
  • What are proactive and reactive tasks and how can we benefit from identifying them?
  • How to recharge your energy each work day to accomplish more.
  • How to use the one-minute-late email to help clients respect your time.
  • How to end appointment calls on time.
  • When to leverage technology and automation for time management.
  • How to schedule your day around your natural energy flows.
“And when I just separated those two, my energy shot up through the roof, because I knew that I was doing what I was supposed to be doing during that time. And I felt good because I was working on my business every day.”
