Rebekah has had a love for the written word ever since childhood, when she wrote and illustrated her own fantastical stories of unicorns, rainbows, and hidden treasure caves. In college, she majored in communications and then spent several years volunteering abroad in a number of different nonprofits before returning to the US to work and develop her career. The career came with a couple of twists and turns that ended up forming a useful backdrop to her current role as a copywriter.
The first was a stint doing sales calls for an email marketing company. This gave her the opportunity to have 30-50 conversations per day with small business owners. In that position, she received world-class sales training and coaching, which, in retrospect, was an enormous gift that translated directly into the ability to write effective copy.
From there, she became a content writer for a marketing agency, writing marketing copy for 45-55 clients per month. This expanded her abilities and taught her to work fast. It also gave her the chance to take a deeper dive into researching many different types of businesses, from local contractors and service businesses to ecommerce companies to obscure niches. This allowed her to develop a deep and specific understanding of a wide range of audiences while she honed her craft.
Now, as a copywriter for Mirasee, Rebekah harnesses all these background elements in the pursuit of creating copy that resonates with the reader, speaks their language, provides value, and presents a compelling offer. Every word matters, and Rebekah takes this craft very seriously.
When she’s not writing, Rebekah loves to read voraciously, go hiking, practice calligraphy, cook delicious gluten-free meals, and knit epic patterns that she usually invents as she goes along.
