The Scattered People (Carol Williams)

  • Episode #23

We all have felt at some point that we are on a hamster wheel, just can’t seem to focus or follow through, but for a lot of people, it’s a way of life. Carol Williams is the founder of Efficient Productivity Systems, a company that helps bring focus and clarity to entrepreneurs who are neurodiverse or just have difficulty creating organization and productivity in their lives.

In this episode, Melinda and Carol tackle the issues behind the unstructured behavior of the clients that Carol calls the “scattered people”. Carol breaks down the layers of her signature system, The Productivity Success Cake™, and both she and Melinda share useful tools and tips to help clients turn chaos into peaceful productivity.

In this episode we discuss:

  • Why some clients get overwhelmed and unfocused and how to recognize that behavior.
  • The importance of accountability and live check-ins with unfocused clients.
  • How to work with procrastination using mini challenges and mini deadlines.
  • How to help clients using bridging and transition planning.
  • The Productivity Success Cake™ system and how to use it when working with unfocused clients.
  • The importance of celebrating small victories.
  • How coaches can help create a space for change through listening and compassion.
  • Why onboarding clients can help them be more successful in your program.

“It’s baby steps and bite-sized pieces and reminders.” ”

“At the end of the day, great coaching has to do with great listening and intuition.”
